Through this business agreement, Samsung Electronics plans to receive 20,000 papers from the Korea Communications Society and use them as learning data for the generative AI model Samsung Gauss, as well as to research Samsung Electronics' next-generation communication technology. .
The Korean Society of Communications, founded in 1974, is the largest academic society in information and communication technology in Korea and is contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic communications business. It has signed this agreement to develop generative AI technology and strengthen national competitiveness.
The papers held by the Korean Society of Communications contain ▲text ▲formulas ▲tables ▲graphs ▲pictures, etc. based on facts, and their reliability has been verified, so they are expected to have great utility as AI model training data.
Samsung Research first unveiled the ▲Language ▲Code ▲Image model of Samsung Gauss, a self-developed generative AI model, at the 'Samsung AI Forum' last November.
Samsung Electronics plans to use Samsung Gauss to promote business innovation within the company and further develop generative AI technology to provide new experiences in people's daily lives.
Among these, the language model makes it easier and faster to handle tasks such as writing emails, summarizing documents, and translating, and can improve consumer experience by controlling devices smarter.
