Applies to TVs and home appliances, and expands service coverage worldwide to strengthen the SmartThings experience, making smart home control easier.

Samsung Electronics has officially launched 3D Map View, first introduced at CES 2024 and now available in all countries with SmartThings access.

Map View optimizes home management by turning floor plans of real spaces into virtual images on the SmartThings app. Users can monitor their devices and adjust lighting, temperature, air quality and energy consumption conveniently anytime, anywhere.

Map View helps solve the challenge of managing the growing number of connected devices in every home around the world and helps make home management smarter without the need for users to search for each device. equipment before use. This mode displays a map of the user's entire home at a glance and updates in real time as more devices are connected.

Map View's predecessor was a 2D model that only worked for homes with floor plans provided on the app. However, this newly updated 3D Map View takes advantage of the spatial AI technology on Samsung devices — such as the Bespoke Jet Bot™ — using LiDAR sensors(first) in the device to accurately measure and map the house layout. Now, users can easily explore the layout and spatial conditions of their home on 3D maps.

This feature has also improved filter functionality to help users monitor and control devices more effectively. The goal of upgrading this function is to provide a more user-friendly and personalized smart service using the AI characters introduced at CES 2024 at the end of last year.
